It all started in 2021, a year that will forever be etched in my memory for both its heartbreak and its hope. On September 1st, 2021, I celebrated a milestone: my fur baby Luckies’ first birthday. Yep, you heard that right. Luckies isn’t just any old pet to me; he’s my pride and joy, my constant companion, and the source of endless inspiration.
But let me rewind a bit. In 2020, I lost my father to COVID-19. He was more than just a parent; he was a mentor, a friend, and a beacon of strength. Losing him shook me to my core, and suddenly, the world felt like a much darker place.

In the midst of my grief, I found myself grappling with another challenge: the closure of my father’s business. It was a blow that threatened to knock me off my feet, but I refused to let it define me. Instead, I made a decision: I would carry on his legacy in my own way. And thus, my journey into jewelry making began.
Now, let me tell you, starting a business from scratch while juggling a 9-5 job is no walk in the park. There were days when I felt like throwing in the towel, when the hurdles seemed insurmountable and the doubts crept in. But you know what? Every setback was just another opportunity to prove to myself what I was capable of.
I won’t lie to you; it hasn’t been easy. There have been late nights and early mornings, moments of frustration and exhaustion. But through it all, I’ve discovered something incredible: the power of resilience. Every time life knocked me down, I got back up, dusted myself off, and kept pushing forward.
And you know what else? I wasn’t alone in this journey. Sure, I may have been the one doing the heavy lifting, but I had an incredible support system cheering me on every step of the way. From friends lending a helping hand with shipping to my mom offering words of encouragement when I needed them most, I was surrounded by love and support.
Fast forward two and a half years, and here I am, still standing. My business may not have skyrocketed to success overnight, but you know what? I’m okay with that. Because every sale, every customer, every piece of positive feedback is a testament to the fact that I’m doing something right.
And you know what the best part is? I get to share my passion with the world. Thanks to platforms like Instagram, I’ve been able to connect with fellow jewelry lovers, showcase my creations, and inspire others to chase their dreams. And now, with my blog on www.momyhood.in, I hope to empower even more women to take that leap of faith and pursue their passions.
