The gentle aroma of freshly baked treats has always been a source of comfort for me, ever since I was a child watching my mother in the kitchen. Little did I know that this love for cooking would one day blossom into my own entrepreneurial adventure.
After completing my college education, I entered the IT industry. Following the birth of my first child, I continued working for a year with the support of my parents, in-laws. And when I enrolled my child in a daycare facility after a year, I realized that the idea of leaving my little one in the care of others didn’t sit well with me. So, within just two days, I made the tough decision to bid farewell to my professional life – a choice I have never regretted.
Fast forward five years, and our family was made complete with the arrival of our second son. As a devoted mother, I was content to immerse myself in the joys of raising our boys, cherishing every moment. Then, the unexpected happened – the COVID-19 pandemic struck, luckily we were at my native and it was like vacation for us. What initially seemed like a challenging situation turned into a blessing in disguise, as it afforded me the luxury of time – time to rediscover my culinary passions. I was always into cooking right from childhood. The one who loves cooking and eating too. 😃

As much as we enjoyed cooking at home, we also frequently indulged in dining out at restaurants. However, the pandemic brought an abrupt halt to our dining experiences, marking the first time in 24 months that we refrained from both dining out and ordering in. Our kitchen became the sole hub for all culinary creations during this time.
It was during this period that I stumbled upon the concept of “meditative cooking,” a practice that resonated deeply with my beliefs as a follower of the Brahma Kumaris. Cooking became more than just a task; it transformed into a therapeutic ritual, allowing me to find solace and joy in the rhythmic motions of preparing nourishing meals for my family.
Friends and loved ones, impressed by my culinary creations, began encouraging me to turn this passion into a business venture. Though hesitant at first, my first foray into the world of entrepreneurship came in the form of a car-shaped cake, lovingly crafted during the third COVID-19 lockdown. The overwhelming praise and support from my inner circle gave me the confidence to take the leap and establish my own baking business.
Navigating the realm of social media was a daunting task for me initially. With respect to Instagram, I am totally naive.. ”O still don’t understand how it works!!” Nor I have patience, I feel.. Baking is more easy 😎
Instagram, with its intricate algorithms and strategies, seemed like a foreign language. Thankfully, my sister stepped in, creating an account and managing it until the arrival of her own bundle of joy. Slowly, I began to take the reins, learning the ropes of this digital world one step at a time. Surely, I am not pro at this and seriously do not know how to make my posts viral Or get followers. But I am determined to learn this on an urgent basis. 😉
Throughout this journey, my husband has been an unwavering pillar of support, encouraging me every step of the way – from quitting my job to embracing the role of a full-time homemaker and entrepreneur. He has played the roles of delivery agent for all far off cakes, taste-tester, and quality controller, always offering his honest feedback, especially when it comes to my beloved tier cakes (as I am self learnt baker, this is step where I worry a lot).
Yet, it is the heartwarming messages and feedback from satisfied customers that truly fuel my passion and keep me going. Knowing that my creations have brought joy and delight to others fills me with an indescribable sense of contentment, urging me to continually improve and innovate. In the end, it’s overwhelming gratitude that fills me. To have the opportunity to contribute to someone’s joyous moments and tailor them to their preferences is truly heartening. 😍
