It all started seven years ago when I stumbled upon my love for sewing. What began as small, simple projects soon blossomed into a full-blown passion. I found solace and joy in every stitch, and before I knew it, I was diving headfirst into the world of handmade bags.

But the road to becoming a professional bag maker was anything but smooth. I faced countless challenges along the way, from the technicalities of bag making to the complexities of sourcing raw materials and understanding hardware. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed and unsure if I could make it work.

Yet, fueled by my passion and determination, I refused to give up. I threw myself into research, devouring every bit of information I could find on bag making techniques and business strategies. I spent countless hours experimenting with different designs and materials, learning from each success and failure along the way.

Today, I stand as a proud bag maker and the founder of Urja Handmade Bags and Accessories – a venture born out of my love for sustainable and user-friendly products, meticulously crafted with love and passion.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my journey has been the opportunity to empower other women. Recognizing that many talented women lacked the resources and support to pursue their passions, I made it my mission to create opportunities for them through Urja. Today, I am blessed to work alongside a team of skilled artisans who inspire me every day with their creativity and resilience.
