When I See You Smiling, All My Worries Disappear

Here is the cutest memory of my five-month-old son and me. My husband slept already & I was hell tired and wanted to sleep desperately.

But the little one was not in a mood to sleep; instead, he wanted to play with my full attention. It was already 12:30 am, and I had been trying since 11 pm, but we know how today’s kids are.

After trying really hard for almost one and a half hours, I pretended to sleep, thinking if he saw me sleeping, he might also sleep. But I was wrong in apprehending my own baby’s intentions and what he did was the cutest thing ever.

When I was pretending to sleep by closing my eyes (with half-open, which an infant cant see obviously), he kept looking at my face in the hope that I would open my eyes and play with him, but I didn’t, & I decided to count only to see till when he will look at me like this.

You won’t believe it; I counted till 77 controlling my laugh and smile. But the way he was looking at me was so cute that I could not manage more.

And I finally smiled at him; in return, he gave me a cheerful smile, and he was like, “mission achieved.”

It was so cute that I kissed him several times. But since it was midnight and I wanted him to sleep, I tried the same thing again. This time he was so playful that he tried to open my eyes with his cute little fingers. And he kept doing this till I opened my eyes and looked at him.

And this continued till 1 am, and in between, I scolded him too by shouting, but he was so cheerful that he continued to smile, looking at my face.

Finally, after lots of hard work and play, I made him sleep at around 1.

So this is how he is. He is born naughty and too intelligent to understand my mood, whether pretending or being serious.
